What does the quiz cover?
Follow familiar subjects from Nigerian public life, from the people in the news to the teams and entertainers you know.
Politics and public affairs
Put names, institutions and public events into context. Questions invite you to recognise the people and decisions shaping Nigerian life.
Sport
Test your recall of Nigerian teams, athletes and sporting stories. Read the answer feedback to understand the fact behind the result.
Entertainment
Explore music, film and the personalities behind Nigeria's entertainment scene, with familiar faces and stories appearing along the way.
Business and news
Challenge yourself on Nigerian business and current-affairs topics. Facts reflect the context of each question; the game is not a live news feed.
More than picking an option
After you answer, a brief explanation appears below the options. You can pause to read why the correct answer is right before continuing. That makes each question a chance to learn something as well as build your score.
A journey through Nigerian places
The map features Nigerian area names, motivational billboards, palm trees and colourful characters. Move along the route as you complete challenges, or choose the daily quiz for a separate mixed challenge. Your lives, virtual game money and score appear in the status bar.
Play on a phone or computer
NaijaWaka runs in your browser, with no app download needed. You can start playing free. Lives limit each session, and optional purchases are available in the shop. Virtual game money is not cash and cannot be exchanged for money.
